It's a bloody good thing I can apparate, or I'd never have gotten to class on time.
Would have been even better if I'd been able to make my left pinky toe come along with the rest of me, but I got it all sorted out. I'm not as good as Hermione, but at least I figured out what spell I needed, thanks to what she'd done before.

Right, so it's getting to be about time for finals. I'm not much in the mood to study for those, but at least I've got some good things sent in from home to eat while I'm doing that. The muggle sweets I took away from that party are pretty good! I'm almost surprised it's all lasted me this long, really... but I can't help it that I need something to keep me going while I'm doing all of this work. Who knew chemistry would be this complicated? It's worse in ways than bloody potions.
I picked up that book called Frankenstein, anyway. No bloody idea if or when I'm going to read it. I might have to just watch the movie and say I did. Except that Hermione will know the difference if I try to act like I read it. Somehow, she just will.

I've heard from home a bit, seems like everyone's good... I'm sort of wondering if I should start going back on the weekends to help George out more at the shop. So this is what a muggle school's like, then. Well, it's not really all muggle at all, is it? It's still different from what I'm used to. I can't believe after everything I'm here taking my seventh year- or a senior in high school, as they've put it. Classes have been ok, so far. It all seems a bit anti-climatic, though, doesn't it, Harry? We go through a war against the darkest wizard ever known, and then turn around and have to bugger off to school.
Anyway... I've got an owl to send. I won't hear the end of it from someone if I don't write.

Things seem to be settling down around here. The visit home was good for getting some extra food to take back, though it's already mostly gone. That's one reason to look forward to the wedding. Speaking of that, I've got a set of dress robes to burn. I'll find something else to wear! ...Hopefully.
Anyway, I think mum's a lot better about us being here. I still have to keep my grades up next term, but I'm not even going to think about that for another month or so. Merlin's shriveled bollocks, that's the least of the things to be worried about anyway.

I've warned everyone about taking Potions before, but right now there's EVEN MORE REASON TO NEVER TAKE THAT CLASS. I mean that. If you know what's good for you, don't get involved with Snape or anything to do with him.
